GOCOO

GOCOO is an eleven-piece taiko ensemble from Tokyo whose genre-defying sound has taken them from Japan's first large-scale outdoor techno festival to the percussion tracks of The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. In twenty-seven years the same members have played together across forty countries on five continents. At the centre is Kaoly Asano, who leads the Tawoo Taiko Dojo in Tokyo and who picked up a taiko drum for the first time at twenty-five as a favour to a friend, and has never stopped since.
