Hitoshi Miyashita

Kakusen Miyashita is a Japanese mountain ascetic and conch shell master. Ordained in the Shugendo tradition in 1999, an ancient practice combining mountain training, prayer, and deep connection with nature, he has spent over two decades on pilgrimage across Japan's sacred peaks and as far as Hawaii and Tahiti. The horagai, a conch shell blown in mountain ritual, is his primary instrument. Through it, he has guided more than a thousand people in breathwork and sound across Japan and abroad.
