miwafuku

Miwafuku has been performing as an offering since 1994, at shrines, temples, and festivals across Japan and beyond. Born in Kyoto and now based in Noto, her practice moves between dance, music, and food, drawing from the rhythms of the natural world. She plays crystal bowls, koshi chimes, and tubular bells handcrafted by Japanese artisans, and has created choreography for some 800 pieces. Every July she performs in Kusedo Engi, a maritime picture-scroll ceremony on the waters of Amanohashidate.
